NFL Leather Jackets – Support your Team and Still Look Cool
All sports teams usually have their team’s jerseys or shirts for sale to their fans and the general public. Other pieces of clothing that aren’t worn on the field but feature the team’s insignia, logo or mascot are also often sold to supporters. These are often worn at sporting matches but can also be worn as everyday wear.
NFL teams are no different from any other sports teams. They produce clothing and other merchandise for their fans marked with the team’s name and insignia that is worn by their supporters. Although the most popular of these are team shirts like the ones worn by players on the field, NFL leather jackets are growing in their popularity.
NFL jackets are always made in the team colours and usually sport the team insignia on the front and back of the jacket. They are often specially designed to commemorate particular significant occasions in a team’s history such as winning the Super Bowl or hitting a special number of times that they’ve won or gone to the Super Bowl. For example, special commemorative NFL leather jackets are designed for when a team becomes a 5-time Super Bowl champion. These commemorative jackets are always incredibly expensive and quickly appreciate as they are limited-edition items. Many people buy these jackets only to sell them later to other fans for a profit. In addition to their rarity, these NFL leather jackets are made of genuine leather, which makes the costs of materials and manufacturing fairly high already, without even needing to factor in that they are one of only a few of their kind.
Despite traditionally taking the backseat to the standard sport jacket that is worn by athletes when it comes to supporters, the leather NFL jacket is coming into its own. Unlike your typical fleece, canvas or zip sports jackets emblazoned with your team’s name, the leather NFL jacket still looks trendy on the street. It enables you to show your support for your home team, but not look as though you’ve just left the gym. Although it is perfectly acceptable wear in a giant sports stadium where everyone is dressed exactly like you and screaming, contributing to the sporting atmosphere, once you take the fleece jacket or pullover out onto the street, you just look like a try-hard wannabe NFL player. If you really feel the urge to broadcast to everyone the team you support, the least you can do is look marginally cooler while doing so. Ditch the sports jacket because the leather jacket is the way to go.
